  • What is included in the Sword Thrive program?

    After you enrol in Sword Thrive, you’ll receive a kit that includes a digital tablet, tablet stand, and a quick guide for getting set up. Your tablet will arrive filled with videos of all your exercises, personally selected for you by your dedicated physiotherapist. Chat with your physio anytime and access our library or educational resources—all from right within the Sword app.

  • How long do I have to complete my program?

    No two programs are the exact same; your program will be personalized to your health needs as well as your schedule. Our physiotherapists will adjust your program after each session to help you recover effectively, and they will continue to connect with you until you find relief.

  • When can I expect to see results?

    Most Thrive members begin to feel relief from pain and improved mobility within a few weeks. 62% of members report feeling pain free by the end of their program, and our members see up to a 70% reduction in surgery intent. We also hear our members report improvements in other lifestyle factors like sleep, alertness, and energy level!

  • How does billing work with Sword Health?

    Sword bills your insurance company first for your sessions. If your plan requires a co-pay, or if you reach your plan maximum, you may need to cover part of the cost out of pocket. You are billed for three types of milestones:

    • Initial Assessment: Your first virtual consultation with a licensed physiotherapist.
    • Therapy Engagement: Every time you complete 30 minutes of Sword therapy.
    • Follow up consultations: Additional consultations with your physiotherapist.

    Bills are sent once a week. Each invoice shows the total cost of your sessions, how much your insurance covered, and what (if anything) you owe. Once Sword has billed a total of $800 CAD, billing stops and care continues. Learn more about billing on our Billing FAQ.

  • Does Sword provide special offers to Desjardins Insurance members?

    If you’re covered by Desjardins Insurance, Sword Health will waive up to $120 CAD of your out-of-pocket costs for your therapy program. This discount applies automatically — you don’t need to do anything. Once the $120 CAD has been used, you'll be charged for any remaining co-pays or out-of-pocket costs.   • What happens if I pause or change my program?

    If you stop therapy for a period of time but have already done more than 15 minutes in a 2-week window, that time will still be billed as a therapy milestone. If you decide to re-engage later, your billing cycle restarts from that point.

    If you switch to a new therapy program (for example, from shoulder to knee), it is billed separately. You’ll complete a new Initial Assessment, and your therapy minutes will reset.
